12 Month Portraits

We had Ashley’s 12 month portraits taken this past weekend. Well, I guess it was more like her 13 month portraits (I’m a little behind). My brother-in-law, Nathan, is starting his own photography business. You can check out his website here. So he took them for us. Since I am usually the one behind the camera, it was nice to get some shots of the three of us. He did a great job! Wouldn’t you agree?

We went to visit Uncle Nathan this morning for Ashley’s 9 month portraits. Unfortunately, Ashley was not in the mood for pictures. She cried most of the time. In fact, you can see in some of the pictures that her eyes are glossy from crying. She didn’t want to sit or stand; she just wanted to be held. But after much patience (and silliness) from Uncle Nathan and Aunt Jenn, we managed to get a few good smiles out of her. 6 Month Portraits

Ashley had her 6 month portraits taken in April. She was actually about 6 1/2 months old at the time of the shoot. We went to the WRAL Azalea Gardens. It was a beautiful day for an outdoor shoot! My friend Katie’s husband is a professional photographer and the photo shoot was our baby shower gift. What a cool gift, huh? Jean did a WONDERFUL job and I am so pleased with the photos! They really captured the day. Ashley was happy, laughing, squealing, and chewing on her fingers for most of the shoot. Then she got tired towards the end and fell asleep in my arms. What a lil’ trooper!
