Dad turned the big 6-0 yesterday and we threw him a surprise birthday party!  I think for possibly the first time in his life, he was genuinely surprised and had no idea what was going on.  He’s normally pretty good at figuring things out.  But not this time!  It was held at Winston’s Grille and everything turned out perfect!  If you are looking for a place to hold a party or event, be sure to check out Winston’s.  We had our own private room, the service was outstanding, and the food was yummy!  We couldn’t have asked for a better venue.

Friends and family from near and far came to Raleigh on a rainy Friday night just for Dad.  We had folks drive all the way from Chapel Hill, Roanoke Rapids, Sanford, Henderson and Holden Beach, to name a few.  Just shows how much he is loved by everyone!  And one friend that came he hadn’t seen in 5 years!  We all had a wonderful time.  My favorite part was seeing the reaction on Dad’s face when he saw everyone.  It was awesome!
