We had a 3D ultrasound of the little guy today!  And I have to say…he is so cute!  He already reminds me of Ashley and looks like she did at her 3D ultrasound.  Except for hers, she was more squished up to my belly.  This guy was moving around so much, we actually got some really good views of him.  Everything checked out great and healthy.  The crazy thing was his weight – would you believe that he already weighs 4 pounds and 10 ounces?!  At 30 weeks pregnant!!  Isn’t that crazy?  He is measuring the size of  a baby at 33 weeks and is in the 89th percentile!  Holy schnikees!  He is going to be a big boy!  Ashley’s weight at her 3D ultrasound was 3 pounds 7 ounces, and that was when I was 29 weeks pregnant.  She was 6 pounds 15 ounces at birth and came at 37 weeks and 6 days.  So I just KNOW that this guy is going to come early.  The thing I hate is that this is a leap year, so I’m afraid he will come on February 29th and only have a birthday every 4 years.  I’ve already decided to put myself on bed-rest that last week of February.  The less activity the better.  Ashley was born the day after I went looking at Parade of Homes with my parents, so I’m pretty confident all that walking had something to do with it.  If I can just make it to March 1st, he can come whenever he wants.  But please don’t come on February 29th!  Or the 27th for that matter (that’s Van’s birthday). I just have a feeling it’s going to be sometime that week.  Hopefully my instinct will be wrong.

I also had the strangest dream this week.  I dreamt that he came out and was already 2 years old!  We brought him home from the hospital and he was sitting next to me on the couch – didn’t need to be nursed or swaddled.  No cooing or crawling.  No oatmeal or pureed foods.  He was all grown up just like Ashley.  AGH!!  I absolutely loved the newborn stage with Ashley (late nights and all) and cannot wait to have that with him.  It was so scary to think that he would be born a toddler.  What a bad dream!  That just shows you how much I am looking forward to all the baby stuff!
