We baked and decorated Christmas cookies today with our friends Jan and Brody.  The kids loved it and it was neat seeing how differently they decorated their cookies.  Brody was more interested in eating the cookies plain and Ashley was more interested in eating the icing off the cookies.  They also loved eating the sprinkles.  No, not the cookies with sprinkles on them, but just the sprinkles themselves.  haha  Silly kids   It was fun though!  I just love baking at Christmas time!

We also exchanged a few gifts.  Jan made Ashley a couple of very trendy coats!  One is fleece and the other is corduroy.  How cute are they!  Isn’t she talented?  So now Ashley can be a little fashion diva in her cute coats.  They also gave the baby a book called Goodnight iPad.  Ashley has Goodnight Moon and her brother will have Goodnight iPad.  Isn’t that funny?  And so appropriate for this household!  She even put a tag on the gift with the baby’s name on it.  First time I’ve seen it in writing and I think it fits him well.  [Sorry, you'll have to wait until he gets here before I announce his name to the world.]  We gave Brody a firetruck for Christmas and the kids thought the box was as much fun as the toy!  Brody showed Ashley how to climb through it so she just had to try it herself.

Anyway, it was a very fun morning!  I just love spending time with friends and family this time of year.  Isn’t that what Christmas is all about?
