I have noticed a common similarity whenever Van gives Ashley a bath.  She always comes down stairs in the same pajamas!  She has a set of long-sleeved/pant pajamas that say “I Love Daddy” on them.  These were great winter pajamas, when she was a size smaller.  But now that the weather is warmer, I always put her in short sleeves and shorts.  And she has several cute summer sets to choose from.

Last Friday, Ashley and I had a tough day.  We were both moody and irritable.  So after dinner, Van told me to go out for some “me” time and he would give Ashley a bath and put her to bed.  Yes, I have a wonderful husband!  It was a much needed break.  And where do you suppose I spent my precious time alone?  Why Kohl’s of course!  An entire 2 hours of shopping with no whining, crying, or screaming.  And I came home to a quiet house.  Perfect!

So the next morning, I go in Ashley’s room to get her and what does she have on?  Her “I Love Daddy” pajamas!  I just had to chuckle to myself.  Her head barely fits through the neck hole and the pants are now high-waters, yet Van loves seeing her in them (for obvious reasons of course).  And his excuse?  “Well, we do have the air conditioning on so I didn’t want her to be cold.”  Ha!  Maybe I should cut the sleeves and pants off so she can continue to wear them in August.  Now, where are those “I Love Mommy” pajamas?
