We are leaving tomorrow for vacation!  Or holiday, however you want to say it.  I’d prefer to say holiday, as it sounds so British   We actually leave in T minus 12 hours.  We are headed to Orlando, Florida to visit Mickey Mouse and Shamu.  I. Can. Not. Wait!  Nana and Grandaddy are coming with us.  Grandma Murray is going to stay here with the boys.  I cannot tell you how comforting it is leaving them with a loved one so I don’t have to worry about them.  I know they will have just as much fun as we will!  Thank you so so much Grandma Murray!!

We are making a road trip out of it, so I am a little concerned as to how Ashley will do in the car for so long.  12+ hours to Florida is a huge difference from the 3 hour car trips to the beach she is used to.  I’ve been collecting new toys, puzzles, books, and CDs and DVDs (thanks Jan!) for the car ride.  Nana is bringing a portable DVD player so we are hoping that will occupy her for a bit.  I’m also bringing lots of snacks and drinks.  Ashley is not a shy one when it comes to eating, so if it comes down to it, I’ll just give her some food to entertain her.

Sorry I don’t have time to post any pictures.  I’ve already packed away my camera!  Aside from trips to the beach, this is Ashley’s first “real” vacation.  I cannot wait to experience it with her!  Our bags are packed, cooler topped off, and shades are on.  Get ready Mickey Mouse…here we come!!
