We have spent Easter weekend at the beach. The Easter bunny came early (today instead of tomorrow). Ashley got some books, a stroller for her baby doll, mini M&Ms, and a bunny beanie baby. Nana and Grandaddy gave her a cute pair of sunglasses, books, and a soft, cuddly teddy bear.
We had an Easter egg hunt today and Ashley loved it! It was her first Easter egg hunt. We decided to have our own here at the house instead of going to the one at church. It wasn’t advertised as having separate “hunts” for the different age groups, and we figured Ashley might get trampled by all the older kids. It was much more fun and relaxing to have our own egg hunt. So Nana hid some eggs around her yard for the girls to find. Ashley was so cute in her Easter dress, picking up the eggs and putting them in her basket. She’s been playing with the little plastic eggs all day. She likes nesting with them – putting smaller eggs in the larger ones. Then opening them and finding the smaller eggs again. She’s so smart! She has also really enjoyed spending time with her cousin Finley.
And if you notice a boo boo on her left cheek, it is from Jimmy (our cat). He got mad and scratched her face Thursday afternoon. It bled for a little while but Ashley was a trooper while I cleaned her up. I was so furious at that darn cat! He is now looking for a new home (just kidding – but not really).
Anyway, I hope everyone has a Happy Easter!

Ashley looks SO cute in her Easter dress (and love the basket too)! Looks like such a fun day! I'm so glad Ashley enjoyed her egg hunt and is loving the eggs (not surprised one bit that her and Brody have that in common too). :) I love the photos...my favorite is image 11 (I can edit Jimmy's markings out). :) Poor Ashley. Still as cute as can be though. :)
