Ashley got her first haircut today.  She is almost 18 months old and I finally bit the bullet.  I probably would have waited until she was 2 had her hair not gotten so long and whispy.  It had gotten to the point where Ashley was constantly pulling it away from her face.  So I figured now was the time. And everyone kept telling me that once I cut it, it would get even curlier.  Nothing like a little bribing for the Mom to give in.

Nana came with us for back-up   She did really well despite not taking a nap the past 2 days.  Yes, you read that right – NO nap yesterday or today.  Agh!  Anyway, I was really proud of her.  She sat in the little pink car for a bit but then she wanted to be held.  So I obliged.  The remainder of her hair cut took place in my arms (awe…).  If you thought her hair was curly before, you should see it now.  It is so curly in the back!  I love love love it!!  She really didn’t take that much off.  Just evened it out and cut off the long strands.  We got a certificate with her picture on it for her first hair cut and I kept some hair as a memento for her baby box.  Afterwards, we got a special treat at Goodberry’s!  That’s what your supposed to do after your first hair cut right?  Get ice cream?
