As Ashley’s first birthday approaches, I have been reminiscing with old pictures and videos.  Here is a movie I made (it is kind of long) showing how she has progressed with food.  It takes a look at what she was eating at 5, 6, 7 and 11 months old.  It is really neat seeing how she has grown and changed over time.  And you will notice her hair getting longer!  In the 11 month clip, she has on a bib with a pouch that catches the food she drops.  Not wanting to waste any food, she will pick the food out of the pouch and eat it, too! 

Mom tells me that my Great Grandmother used to give me one goldfish at a time when I was little because she liked watching me pick up that one goldfish with my tiny little fingers.  I can totally relate to that fascination because I love watching Ashley eat, too!  It is so much fun for me to see her explore, investigate and try new foods.  Sometimes she will be precise and pick up one little piece, other times she will grab a handful and shove it in her mouth.  Either way, she loves to eat and there is never a dull moment at dinner time!
