Sunday, September 12th was Grandparents Day. I brainstormed on what Ashley could do for her grandparents and came up with a brilliant idea – she would paint for them! What grandparent wouldn’t want a hand-made gift from their grandaughter?! I bought some finger paint and canvas at Michael’s and took Ashley outside on the patio. She loved painting! The weather was perfect for being outside. However, Ashley got more paint on her face than on her fingers! She would smear it around a bit, but was more interested in trying to lick the canvas once it had paint on it. She would bend down and put her mouth on it as if she were trying to taste the paint! That’s what I get for painting with an 11 month old I guess. HA! It sure was fun though! Then when Daddy got home from work, he helped me get a couple footprints on there to complete the pieces. Happy Grandparents Day to all you grandparents out there
We love you!
Love this idea! May have to steal it from you for next year. We just went with a card this year (um, can you say boring?). I guess I have no place to go but up with my ideas for years to come. :) Thanks for a great idea!
