Our two newest food introductions are apples and pears. She is so funny when trying a new food. The look on her face is just priceless! After she has a few bites, and realizes she likes it, she’s good to go. But until then, let the funny faces begin! As before, I just cook the food, puree it, and freeze the leftovers.
I haven’t found anything yet that she flat out refuses to eat. And I think so far, she likes pears the best. She’s really getting to be such a good eater. She opens her mouth when she sees the spoon coming. Or I can tell her “open” and she opens her mouth. Lately, she’s been eating the entire portion that I prepare for her. And last night, she took the spoon and started chewing on it.
I’m not so sure how she’s taking to the carrots though. She was fine eating them, but it just so happened that 2 of the nights I fed her carrots, she was up in the middle of the night crying. So I don’t know if the carrots upset her tummy, or if it was just her teething and a coincidence that I fed her carrots those nights. So I’m putting the carrots on hold for now until I can figure that out.
Next up…sweet potatoes!
