It’s been 12 weeks and I think we are all adjusted now to our new addition.  The boys have welcomed her as part of the pack and I am very impressed at how well they have taken to her.  It took Toby a little longer than Blake to warm up to her, but can you blame him?  In the early days, it was just me and him; then I brought in Van, Jimmy, Blake and now Ashley.  He’s been through a lot of changes in the past 5 years.  

I think they understand now that this new baby is here to stay.  Toby is the protective one with her.  He’ll lay down next to her and just watch her.  Blake is the playful one.  When I’m on the floor with Ashley, Blake comes up and wants to play with her, too.  He’s starting to nudge her, like he nudges me.  I guess he thinks she can pet him, too.  They are so funny.  I can’t wait for the day when she can nudge him back!  Won’t that be a shocker
