“Hark the herald angels sing, Glory to the newborn King
Peace on earth and mercy mild, God and sinner reconciled
Joyful all ye nations rise, join the triumph of the skies
With angelic host proclaim, Christ is born in Bethlehem
Hark the herald angels sing, glory to the newborn King.”
This is my favorite Christmas song! It fills my heart with joy everytime I sing it. But this year the words will have even more meaning for me. Glory to the newborn King is right!! I have so much to be thankful for this year; being blessed with a healthy baby girl. I cannot wait to spend Christmas morning with my little angel!
I decorated the house this week. Ashley enjoyed watching me string the lights on the Christmas tree. I wrapped her first Christmas present last night. I’ve never had so much fun wrapping a present before! The tag says “To Ashley” Love Mom and Dad”. It was pretty neat writing those words. Mom and Dad. And no, I’m not telling what we got her. You’ll have to wait till Christmas to find out!
As for an update on Ashley, I do need to brag a bit. For the past 8 days (no, I’m not counting) Ashley has slept through the night! Like 6-8 hours. And incase you forgot, she is only 7 weeks old! I hate to ginx it, but I just had to say something. This is a BIG milestone. Let’s hope it’s our new routine!
Ashlely and I went to visit Cherokee and had lunch with Van yesterday. That was fun! Ashley did great meeting everyone. She was like a magnet. Everyone came out of their offices to see her. Van is fortunate to work with a great group of people. They are so sweet and welcoming. Here’s a shoutout to the Cherokee folks! Next week we head to CSH. Stay tuned!!
