Family/Friends Baby Shower

Mom, Jenn, and my aunt Sibyl threw me a baby shower this past Saturday.  It was so much fun!  I have to give mad “props” to my sister because she did an awesome job!  It was held at her house and she decorated so nicely.  Really took on the pink and green theme.  She had pink roses with green hydrangeas and other flowers.  Pink and green M&Ms that said “It’s a girl” and Lil’ Pumpkin’s initials, “AMK”.  So cool!!  I had a sash to wear that said “Because I’m Pregnant, That’s Why” and I got a “Mommy’s Sippy Cup” wine glass.  There was good food, chocolate covered strawberries, and miniature cupcakes that had little onesies on them.  Lil’ Pumpkin got more clothes, onesies, receiving blankets, hooded towels, diapers and wipes, her first piggy bank, a diaper bag, and our friend Kim knitted a beautiful yellow blanket for her.  That was really sweet!  Oh, and Jenn, being the stylish aunt she is, got her a soft organic onesie and some fancy burp cloths from Beanie & Cecil Baby.  I’m sure there will be no shortage of fashion wear from her Aunt Jenn!

The most exciting gifts were a pack-n-play and stroller given by our parents!   Van was up late Saturday night putting them together.  I pushed the stroller around the house with the boys following me.  Blake loved all the new smells.  But poor Toby wasn’t too pleased.  He just sat in the corner while Van put together the pack-n-play.  He didn’t want to be near it.  So we’re just going to leave it set up downstairs.  Hopefully Toby will get used to it soon!
